किसी वाक्य को दो प्रकार से लिखा जा सकता है।
There are two kinds of voice
1. Active Voice
2. Passive Voice
1. Active Voice: When the doer or subject of a sentence does an action is said to be in the Active voice.
Or-When much importance is given to subject of the sentence is said to be in the Active Voice.
जब किसी वाक्य का Subject किसी काम को करता है उस वाक्य को Active Voice में होना कहा जाता है।
Or-जब किसी वाक्य के subject को ज्यादा महत्ब दिया जाता है तो उस वाक्य को Active Voice में होना कहा जाता है।

2. Passive Voice: When the action is done to the subject of a sentence is said to be in the Passive Voice.
Or-When much importance is given to the object of the sentence is said to be in the Passive Voice.
जब कोई काम किसी वाक्य के कर्ता (Subject) पे ही किया जाता है तो उस वाक्य को Passive Voice में होना कहा जाता है। इस स्थिति में Object को वाक्य के शुरू में रखा जाता है।

Note-किसी वाक्य को Passive Voice में लिखने के लिए ये जानना जरुरी है की कौन से Sentence को Passive Voice में लिखा जा सकता है।
ध्यान रहे की साधरणतः उसी Sentence को Passive Voice में लिखा जा सकता है जिसमे Transitive Verb हो बिना Transitive Verb बाले Sentence को Passive में नही लिखा जा सकता है।
अब बात आती है की Transitive Verb क्या होता है तो आइये हम आपको बताते है कि Transitive Verb क्या होता है।
Main Verb को दो भागो में बांटा जा सकता है।
Transitive Verb- वैसे Verb जो अपने साथ एक Object जरूर लेते है Transitive Verb कहलाते है।Ex. Ram eats a mango.
He writes a book on English.
Intransitive Verb- वैसे Verb जो अपने साथ Object नही लेते है Intransitive Verb कहलाते है।
Ex. We sleep in the night
They run on the road daily.
लेकिन अब बात आती है की कैसे पता करेंगे की किस Verb के साथ Object आएगा या नही आएगा।
ध्यान दे- Transitive Verb और Intransitive Verb का पता लगाने के लिए दिए हुए वाक्य में "What+Verb" या "Whom+Verb" से Question करेंगे यदि इसका जबाब "हाँ" (Yes) में मिल जाये तो उस वाक्य में प्रयुक्त "Verb" "Transitive" होगा। और यदि इसका जबाब "न" (No) में मिले तो उस वाक्य में प्रयुक्त "Verb" "Intransitive" होगा।
अब Example से समझने की कोशिश करते है।
Ram eats a mango. राम आम खाता है।
She goes to school. वह स्कूल जाती है।
We play cricket. हमलोग क्रिकेट खेलते है।
She teaches the girls. वह लड़कीओं को पढ़ाती है।
Note- ऊपर दिए Example में अब बारी-बारी से सभी वाक्य में "What+Verb" या Whom+Verb से Question करेंगे।
पहले वाक्य में What+Verb यानि "राम क्या (What) खाता है?" से Question करने पर जबाब मिलता है "आम"अर्थात "Eat" "Transitive Verb" है और आम "Object" है।
दूसरे वाक्य में "वह क्या जाती(Goes)" है? से Question करने पर कोई जबाब नही मिलता है अतः इस वाक्य में प्रयुक्त Verb "Goes" Intransitive Verb है।
तीसरे वाक्य में "हमलोग क्या खेलते (Play) है?" से Question करने पर जबाब मिलता है क्रिकेट(Cricket) अतः इस वाक्य में प्रयुक्त Verb "खेलना"(Play) "Transitive Verb" है और "Cricket" "Object" है।
इसी तरह चौथे वाक्य में "Whom+Verb" यानि "वह किसको पढ़ाती है?" से Question करने पर इसका जबाब "लड़कीओं"(Girls) मिलता है अतः इस वाक्य में प्रयुक्त Verb "पढ़ाना" (Teach) Transitive Verb है।

Note:- एक बात याद रहे की जो वाक्य(Sentences) Tense से बनाये या लिखे जाते है वे Active Voice में होता है।

साधारणतः आठ Tenses को Passive Voice में लिखा जा सकता है।
Active Passive
Present Indefinite Tense- Sub+V1/V5+Obj Obj+am/is/are+V3+By+Agent
Present Continuous Tense- Sub+am/is/are+V4+obj Obj+am/is/are+Being+V3+By+Agent
Present Perfect Tense- Sub+has/have+V3+Obj Obj+has/have+been+V3+By+Agent
