S+V+A-1

Although you are probably already familiar with basic subject-verb agreement, this chapter begins with a quick review of basic agreement rules.

Subjects and verbs must AGREE with one another in number (singular or plural). Thus, if a subject is singular, its verb must also be singular; if a subject is plural, its verb must also be plural.
There are two numbers in English language – singular (one) and plural (more than one)

Singular: One boy is sitting in the room

Plural: Many boys are sitting in the room.

It is important to note that the number decides the form of a verb. If the subject is singular, the verb will be singular and similarly, the verb will be plural if the subject is plural.

Details Rules of Subject Verb Agreement

The first and foremost rule of subject verb agreement says that if the subject of a sentence is singular the verb used with it will be in the singular number and if the subject of a sentence is plural the verb used with it in the plural number.
Ex. She reads a book in the night.
        ↓          ↓
      Sub      Verb
    (Sing)     (Sing)

Ex. They are playing in the filed.
       ↓         ↓
     Sub     Verb

     (Pl)      (Pl)

Note: ध्यान रहे कि Subject Verb Agreement सम्बन्धी Problems सिर्फ is, am, are, was, were, do, does, has, have से होते है या फिर Present Indefinite Tense के Main Verb से।
              Subject Verb Agreement में सबसे ज्यादा ध्यान Sentence के Subject का पता लगाना होता है।
इस Chapter में Subject Verb Agreement के Detail Rules की ब्यख्या करने की कोशिश करूँगा।
